
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Ameen Madani has strongly condemned the recent heinous terrorist attack in Kabul which left at least 21 civilians dead and scores of others wounded.The Secretary General further reiterated that no reason whatsoever could justify the killing or wounding of civilians in such a cruel way. He reaffirmed the OIC's position in supporting the government of Afghanistan in its endeavors to fight terrorism and extremism, and called on the Afghan authorities to bring the perpetrators of this act of terror to justice.He also called on all Afghans to show unity in combating terrorism particularly at this specific time during which Afghanistan is going through a new challenging phase of political, security and economic transition.
