The Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Tuesday strongly condemned the Israeli Government for holding its weekly session in the occupied Syrian Golan and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's provocative remarks.
This came during today's expanded extraordinary meeting at the level of OIC permanent representatives.
Deeming Israeli's latest escalation as a part of its attempts to seize Golan, the OIC reiterated its stance and support for Syrian peoples' right to restore full sovereignty over Golan.
Meanwhile, the 57-member Islamic body called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to oblige Israel to withdraw from Golan in line with the international resolutions.
