Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has warned of the current situation in Syria which threatens civil war. In an address at the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee at the ministerial level in the organization's headquarters in Jeddah yesterday, he said a civil war in Syria may affect thousands of more innocent victims, adding that it might impact all the countries of the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Secretary General also said that the meeting was also convened to study the serious developments in Palestine, Syria, Sudan, Mali and the Sahel.
