The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said today that it will present its 5th report to Islamophobia Observatory during the 35th meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers to be held in Djibouti on Thursday. The OIC Secretary General Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu warned in a press statement today that the West has been witnessing a process of institutionalization and legitimization of the phenomenon of Islamophobia in a systematic process over the past five years. The report cautioned of the exploitation of religion for political purposes which may threaten global peace and security, noting in this regard the incident of burning the Holy Quran in Florida, the United States of America, and the film which offended the Prophet and broadcast on 'YouTube' as the most prominent violations against the Islamic religion.
