The Times said Sunday al Qaeda launched the new audio recording purportedly made by Ossama bin Laden's favorite son, Hamza, calling for attacks on the West, with the primacy of al Qaeda threatened by the rise of Daesh.
"The original global terrorism network has returned to a familiar brand name: bin Laden," the paper added.
"It is believed to be the first time that al Qaeda has presented the junior bin Laden, who is thought to be in his mid-twenties, as an official member of the militant group," the papers said.
Osama bin Laden, who founded the terrorism network responsible for the 9/11 attacks, was killed by US special force in Pakistan's Abbottabad in 2011.
