
A total of 113,260 suspects are under detention and 47,155 have been arrested as part of a crackdown after the failed
coup of 2016, Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said Sunday.
The minister also said that 41,499 other people have been released with judicial control decisions and 23,861 others have also been freed.
Some 10,732 suspects are policemen, 7,463 are soldiers and 168 are generals, the minister was quoted by Daily Sabah as saying.
There are also 2,575 suspects who are either judges or prosecutors.Up to 26,177 of them are civilians and 208 are local authority chiefs," Soylu added.
