Pakistan sympathized with the victims of the Oklahoma tornado and expressed deep sorrow over the incident on Tuesday. The Foreign Office spokesman in a statement said, "The Government and people of Pakistan are deeply saddened and shocked at the humanitarian tragedy unleashed on the Oklahoma State by a devastating tornado. "Our sympathies and prayers go out to the families of victims of this horrific incident that led to precious loss of life and property", the spokesman further added. "We are particularly grieved over the loss of innocent children and their teachers who were buried under the rubble. May Allah Almighty give courage and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss," said the statement. The tornado that struck the U.S. city of Oklahoma and its suburbs killed at least 24 people, including eight children, and injured 120. The confirmed death toll was lowered from an earlier figure of 51, and officials said the toll could change again.
