Expressing deep concern over the reports about the nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Pakistan said that it strongly believed that all countries should comply with their respective international obligations, the Pakistani Daily Times reported on Saturday.
"Pakistan has noted with deep concern about the reports of nuclear test conducted by DPRK on January, 6. We have consistently supported a Korean Peninsula as agreed by all parties," the Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement.
Pakistan strongly believes that all countries should comply with their respective international obligations, the statement said.
"We oppose any action which is detrimental to peace and stability in the region and militate against the prospects of reaching a solution to the issue in the framework of the six party talks," it added.
