Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani left here this morning for Doha on a three-day official visit to Qatar in response to an invitation extended to him by Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. In a press statement prior to his departure from an Air base, Gilani said he will have talks with the Qatari leadership on means of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of energy, the current regional developments and prospects of promoting trade cooperation between Pakistan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The Pakistani Prime Minister is accompanied by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar; Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain and a number of senior officials.
