The Pakistan Army on Tuesday rejected a report published in the Newyork Times suggesting that Pakistan army carried out drone strikes. The report claimed that the drone strikes on February 6 and 8 in Northern area of Pakistan were not conducted by US. It said that the attack might be from Pakistan Army, which blamed CIA for the attacks to counter the public reaction. Military spokesman in a statement said that such an accusation "is distortion of the facts and seems to be aimed at diluting Pakistan's stance on drone strikes." He also denied Pakistan's security forces having carried out any operation, including air strikes, in the area on dates mentioned in the news report.
