Pakistan, US to review strategic dialogue process

 Pakistan and United States (US) have agreed to review their strategic dialogue process, said the Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam on Thursday.The spokesperson during a weekly media briefing in Foreign Office said that the advisor to the Prime Minister Sartaj Aziz would represent Pakistan while Secretary Kerry will be on the table from the side of the US. She didn't confirm the date and venue of the dialogues but said, "The venue will be Washington most probably." The Foreign Office spokesperson further told that there were five working groups for cooperation in different sectors and three of them had already met, adding that two groups on counter-terrorism and finance had yet to meet.While answering a question regarding the recent visit of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the spokesperson said that Saudi Arabia is not playing any role in the proposed dialogue between Pakistan and Tehrik e Taliban e Pakistan (TTP). Tasneem further said that Saudi Arabia as an important member of the Muslim Ummah and as Custodian of the Holiest places of Islam has a role in the Muslim world.In reply to another question, the spokesperson confirmed the visit of Saudi Interior Minister to Pakistan and told that the interior ministries of the two countries were also working on an agreement to be signed on the occasion.
