Pakistani defence minister confirms his country's commitment to defend the Kingdom's sovereignty

Pakistan's defense minister Khawaja Mohammed Asif has said that his country is committed to defend the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as per defense agreements between the two countries.
In a briefing before the Pakistani Senate in Islamabad last Friday evening, Asif added, in response to questions from opposition parties senators on the nature of relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, that Pakistan is seeking to play a positive role in the current crisis between the Kingdom and Iran, but would defend the integrity of the Saudi territories once there emerge any threat to its safety.
