The kidnappers of 20 government employees have demanded the release of 20 militants, imprisoned in jails accross Pakistan's northern Peshawar city, it was disclosed on Tuesday. The Political Administration of Khyber tribal agency in its response to the Peshawar High Court (PHC)'s query disclosed that twenty employees of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) were kidnapped from Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency while on repairing electric lines. The political administration said that the employees were kidnapped by local Taliban militants. It said further that efforts were being made for their release. However, it added, the kidnappers have demanded in exchange the release of twenty of their accomplices, who are being jailed in different Peshawar jails for their involvement in different terrorism activities.
