
Pakistan National Assembly on Thursday condemned the continued violation of ceasefire by the Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and called for constructive engagement. According to an official press release, the resolution presented to the House by Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain stated that this House condemned this act of aggression and also expressed serious concerns on continued violation of ceasefire across LoC by the Indian army. On Wednesday, the Foreign Office of Pakistan called on the Indian Deputy High Commission in Islamabad to lodge a strong protest over the firing by Indian army soldiers last night, which resulted in the death of a Pakistan Army captain and injury to another soldier.
