The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said Thursday it will assign security agencies with suspending security cooperation with Israel after the election win of Likud.
After a meeting chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas, the Executive Committee of the PLO said the victory of the Israeli right wing in elections meant regional and international parties need to stand side by side to counter the trend that targeted the peace march.
"The current stage needs escalation at all political and economic levels and expansion of admission of the Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders and supporting it at the UN Security Council and other international organizations," the executive committee said in a statement.
A national delegation comprising all Palestinian factions to be dispatched to the Gaza Strip to meet with leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad was also decided.
