The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the Israeli settlement operations in most of the Palestinian districts, especially in al Quds and Salfit.
The ministry, meanwhile, termed the settlement operations as a flagrant challenge to the international law and the will of the international community which calls for solving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on a two-state solution.
In a statement Monday, the ministry said that the report prepared by Israeli Haartez newspaper reveals the expansion of the Israeli settlements and the control of the plots of lands owned by the Palestinian citizens, under the pretext of military reasons.
This Israeli policy has been adopted since 1967, added the statement.
The Palestinian foreign ministry also urged the UN Security Council to bear its responsibility toward the Palestinian people, their land and their national political rights and to compel Israel to respect the resolutions of the international legitimacy.
