The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the European Union (EU) in general and Belgium in particular to follow up the demolition process carried out by Israel to the projects funded by the EU and holding the Israeli government accountable for its violations to international law and Geneva agreements.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry underlined that the ongoing dangerous Israeli escalation aiming at stealing the Palestinian territories urges the Palestinian leadership to go to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to issue a resolution so as to stop the building of settlements and save the two-state solution.
The ministry said that these racist measures come at the time of increasing plans pertaining to establishing settlements in the West Bank during the current year according to Israel's Peace Now movement.
