Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met at his place of residence in New York last night with the United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, in order to submit Palestinian application in a bid to obtain the status of a UN non-member observer state on the eve of a session during which votes will be taken later today in this regard. The meeting was attended by PLO Executive Committee's Secretary Yasser Abdou-Rubbou, PLO Executive Committee member Saib Erekat, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyadh Al-Maliki, PLO Central Committee member Mohammed Esthtayya, Palestinian Mission chief at the UN Ambassador Riyadh Mansour and Hanna Omeirah.
