Russia highly appreciates historic friendly relations with Palestine; the intensive dialogue at the summit level plays a special role, the Kremlin press service stated on Wednesday, announcing the visit of President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas to Moscow at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Itar tass reported. “This is the first visit to Russia by the Palestinian leader since Palestine’s attaining the status of an observer state in the United Nations on November 29, 2012, the Kremlin press service reports. Putin and Abbas will hold the talks on March 14. The sides will discuss key questions of bilateral cooperation and topical problems on the international agenda. The previous meeting of the leaders took place on June 26, 2012, when the Russian President was on a working visit in Bethlehem.
