Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah underlined the importance of the French initiative on holding an international peace conference to resume peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
During a meeting with French Consul General in Al Quds (occupied east Jerusalem) Hervé Magro on Wednesday, he lauded France's stance in support of the Palestinians and a two-state solution.
In January, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that France tried to convene an international peace summit to work towards a two-state solution, adding that France would recognize a Palestinian state if a renewed push for a two-state solution failed.
