Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah welcomed all the international initiatives which call for setting a schedule for ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
This came during Hamdallah's meeting with a Swedish parliamentary delegation in his office here on Thursday.
Hamdallah posted the delegation on the Israeli violations including killing and nabbing Palestinians, practising punishment and forced displacement policies.
He further underlined that settlements hinder achieving the two-state solution.
The premier hailed Sweden's recognition of the Palestinian state, noting that the Palestinian leadership under President Mahmoud Abbas depends on the support of the friendly countries such as Sweden to end the occupation and establish an independent state.
