
Palestinian Deputy Yasser Mansour, detained in Israeli jails, announced today the suspension of the hunger strike which he started last Friday upon promises received by the responsible parties at the Israeli prisons department. Accordingly, the Negev prison ended his solitary confinement and returned him to the sections of prisoners.Samar Adnan, wife of Mansour said her husband decided to suspend the hunger strike in coordination with his fellow prisoners, to give time to the department of prisons to end his suffering from the administrative detention and set a date for his release.She quoted her husband as saying that he has an appointment with those in charge of prisons to find out the changes in their stance towards his administrative detention, which protracted for fourteen months without charge or ceiling for termination.Mansour was arrested on November 23, 2012 and his detention was renewed three times for six months each time. He is suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
