Visiting president of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Roger Nkodo Dang said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has a powerful vision of the role played by parliaments in developing African states and raising their status in the international community.
Lauding President Sisi's concern with Africa, Dang said the Pan-African Parliament was keen to share with Egypt the ceremony marking the 150th anniversary of the commencement of the Egyptian parliamentary life.
This event is important at both the Egyptian and African levels, Dang told reporters.
Noting that Africa's parliaments were invited by President Sisi to attend the ongoing celebrations, Dang said that more than 50 countries of the African Union are proud of Egypt's ancient parliament.
