A festive performance of military brass orchestras, which were marching on the central square of Pyongyang, began at 10:00 local time (05:00 Moscow time) on Saturday a military parade, which is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory in the national liberation war. North Korea names officially the Korean War (1950-1953) this way. This war ended with signing of the armistice agreement. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in black jacket reviewed the parade of the Korean People’s Army as the supreme commander-in-chief. Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao, who arrived on this occasion in Pyongyang at the head of the country’s official delegation, is standing next to Kim Jong Un among honorary guests. The Chinese militiamen, who were fighting for North Korea during a three-year armed conflict on the Korean Peninsula, are also participating in the parade. About 100 foreign journalists from Russia, China, the United States, Japan, France, Great Britain and other countries are covering the festive events.
