Park concerned over parliamentary debate on economic democratisation

President Park Geun-hye said Monday she is concerned that parliamentary discussions on "economic democratization" may be going too far, as the National Assembly mulls a series of restrictions to rein in the influence of conglomerates.Economic democratization was one of Park's key campaign promises on the economy. It calls for reducing the concentration of economic power in the hands of conglomerates and narrowing the wealth gap as well as dealing with other economic inequalities.
