A delegation from the African Union’s Peace and Security Council is due to start a three-day official visit to Sudan on Sunday, during which they hold talks with Foreign Minister Ali Karti and visit Darfur.The delegation includes representatives of permanent member states of the council and will be headed by the envoy of incumbent session president Nigeria, Abdelmoneim Osman El-Beity, head of the African Union department at Sudan’s foreign ministry said.Members of the delegation will meet with heads of accredited African missions in Khartoum and will visit the two states of Northern and South Darfur, the Sudanese official said, noting that the reason of the delegation’s trip is to visit the UNAMID mission as the council supervises peace and security issues in the continent.
