Two people have been killed and at least 30 others wounded when a grenade exploded in the southern Philippines. Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Cabangbang, a regional military spokesman, said that the blast occurred in front of a bar in Iligan City of Mindanao region on Saturday night, according to the (Sky News). Army Superintendent Albert Caber said investigators confirmed the blast was caused by a grenade. One man was killed immediately by the blast and the second casualty expired in hospital, he said. "This has nothing to do with terrorism," said Danilo Lucero, army commander in the area. "Our initial assessment is that this is more of a petty crime." Militants are known to operate in the area, but family feuds or business rivalries in Mindanao sometimes trigger such attacks.
