Philippines president: No aggression in maritime disputes

The Philippines will not resort to aggression in territorial disputes with China and other neighbours, President Benigno Aquino III said Wednesday. In a speech to mark Independence Day, Aquino said the Philippines only wanted to protect its own territory, according to DPA. "Aggression does not run in our veins, but neither will we back down from any challenge," he said.
