A senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine cautioned against the plots hatched to disintegrate the Palestinian territories, and underlined that the Palestinian Authority's attempts to compromise with Israel is doomed to failure."Palestine is not dividable, Palestine is fully one single country and there is no other home than Palestine for the Palestinians and the Palestinian nation will not give up even a span of its homeland," Maher al-Taher told FNA on Wednesday. He pointed to the PA President Mahmoud Abbas's efforts to compromise with Israel, and said 20 years of reconciliation talks have failed due to the Zionist regime's dishonesty. Noting the Israeli regime's dishonesty in talks and time killing approach, he said, "As proponents of the reconciliation talks stress, these talks have yielded no result after 20 years. "Some other of its advocates also stress that until the Zionist regime is continuing construction of Jewish settlements in the Palestinian territories, such talks will be useless." Taher was in Tehran to attend the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada earlier this week. Addressing the conference, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei also rejected the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and called for holding a free referendum in the entire Palestinian lands (including those under the Israeli occupation) to determine the fate of the country. "We neither propose dumping the migrant Jews in the sea nor the UN arbitration, rather our proposal includes a referendum to be participated by all Palestinians," Ayatollah Khamenei said on Saturday. He also dismissed the West's plots to disintegrate Palestine, and said, "Today the West is standing on a crossroad and it should either leave its age-old bullying and recognize the rights of the Palestinians or wait for harder blows in the near future."
