Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah on Monday, decided to cancel a pre-scheduled field visit along with the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, to Khan Al-Ahmar in the Jordan Valley.Hamdallah cancelled the visit due to Israel's insistence on intervening in the agenda of the visit. The Palestinian Cabinet considered this interference as an Israeli action that aimed at foiling the visit.Hamdallah stated that the Israeli side conveyed contradictory messages about the visit, which comes as part of a series of meetings that are being held by Schulz in order to support the Palestinian efforts that aim at achieving an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The Palestinian Government stressed its commitment to insure the success of Schulz visit in order to support the international efforts in general and the European efforts in particular in achieving the demands of the Palestinian people in establishing their future state of Palestine.
