Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Palestinian government in Gaza called on Egypt to revise the Camp David Treaty which was signed with Israel. Giving a Khutbah at the Khalil al-Wazir mosque in Gaza, Haniyeh said, "we ask Egyptian authorities to revise mainly the security articles of the Camp David Treaty even though not cancelling it. Zionists try to use the gap created by the treaty, which blocks the military presence in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula in order to de-stabilize Egypt's security and damage Egypt- Palestine relations." Haniyeh added Egypt had to develop a different strategy in the Sinai Peninsula in the fields of development, investment and security. Haniyeh also called onEgypt to track a different policy over the Rafah Border Gate.
