Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, on Monday received a delegation from the Palestinian Assembly of Independent Figures led by Munib al-Masri. Ensour renewed Jordan’s support of the Palestinian brothers to restore their legitimate rights and establish their independent Palestinian state on Palestinian national soil, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Prime Minister said that the Palestinian cause remains a central issue for Jordan, stressing that the Palestinian cause has been and still is and will remain in the hearts of the Jordanian. He told the delegation that His Majesty King Abdullah II spares no effort and invests all his meetings and speeches to focus on the Palestinian issue and the need to find a just and lasting solution to it. Al-Masri hailed Jordan’s efforts in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle to restore their legitimate rights. He also commended the Kingdom’s and the Hashemite care for Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian holy sites.
