
About six thousand soldiers from 14 countries will take part in the exercises which code-named Steadfast Jazz 2013 in Poland and the Baltic States from November 2 to 9, local media reported Tuesday. This is one of the biggest NATO exercises in recent years, which is to Test, train and certify the NATO Response Force. According to Polish Media report, the maneuvers will involve units of all military formations from NATO and partner countries, including Finland, Sweden and Ukraine. And Russia has been invited to observe the exercise. Three thousand soldiers are to take part in field exercises to be held in a dozen or so land and sea locations. In addition, Multinational troops will participate in a live-fire exercise at Polish Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area.
