
One policeman was killed and other three security personnel were wounded on Thursday by unknown militants in Sharqiya province, north of the capital Cairo, official news agency MENA reported. The perpetrators on a motorcycle showered the policemen with bullets, the report said, adding that the death toll may increase as two of the injuries are in seriously wounded in the chest and neck. In another accident in the same province in the early morning, an army officer and a soldier were also wounded by masked gunmen near a military area in Zagazig city. During the past week another six security men were shot dead in Sharqiya with the same technique by militants on motorcycles. Official reports said more than 450 members of army and the police had been killed and hundreds injured since the ouster of the president Hosni Mubarak in 2011..
