Polish president calls parliamentary elections for Oct 9

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski on Thursday called parliamentary elections for October 9. According to the Constitution, the elections must be held at a weekend, at least 30 days before the fourth year of the current parliament expires. The president announced his decision at a news conference in the Belvedere Palace, his official residence, in Warsaw.
