Poll finds majority of Scots do not want to see another referendum

Scots don’t want another independence referendum for at least five years, according to a new opinion poll.
The Panelbase survey for the Sunday Times found 54 per cent of those asked did not want a vote on the issue before 2020.
Only 39 per cent of voters were in favour of a referendum being carried out earlier.
More than 1,000 people, the vast majority of whom said they had participated in last year’s referendum, were questioned in the survey conducted online between March 30 and April 2.
