HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani said he conveyed a message from HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria. HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani in a statement after his meeting with President Bouteflika said that Qatar and Algeria enjoy excellent relations laid down by leaders of both countries, adding that his visit to Algeria was for coordination between the two countries in political spheres and events taking place in the region in addition to reviewing bilateral and economic ties. His Excellency the Prime Minister said that Qatar-Algeria joint higher committee will hold a meeting this year in Qatar. There will be significant results out of this meeting due to the guidance of the leaders of both countries, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani added. He also lauded his meeting with Bouteflika, while expressing his wishes for Algerian President and people of further progress and prosperity. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani also praised the wisdom of President Bouteflika in dealing with both internal and external events. Regarding Qatar''s efforts in supporting the accession of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, HE the Prime Minister stressed we support anything that can help our brothers in Palestine and we hope to see them attaining full membership, adding that world should appreciate that the Palestinian people''s patience have been for more than 60 years and that they are entitled to have a state, even under occupation. The world is dealing with international law and it is time to treat Israel in accordance with international law and not above international law, he added.
