Premier of Canada's Ontario Province receives UAE's consul general

The UAE Consul General in Toronto, Sultan Ali Al Harbi, met on Wednesday with the Premier of the Canadian province of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne.

The meeting reviewed the UAE's relations with Canada and focused on economic cooperation with the province of Ontario.

Al Harbi and Wynne discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and explored opportunities for economic and commercial cooperation.

The Premier of Ontario praised the progress made by the UAE during the past 44 years and lauded the country's balanced stand towards regional and international issues.

She also underlined the pioneering role, played by the UAE women in the country's comprehensive development.

Ontario is Canada's largest province in terms of economy and population. It contributes 38 percent of Canada's Gross National Product and 32 percent of the country's total exports.
