The Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika appointed a new government yesterday "after consultations with the prime minister", Abdelmalek Sellal, as reported by the Algerian APS agency. Abdelmalek Guenaizia is the new Minister of Defence, Mohamed Charfi is the new Minister of Justice, Karim Djoudi has been appointed to the Ministry of Finance, Hocine Necib will run the department of Water Resources, and Bouabdallah Ghlamallah is the new Minister for Religious Affairs. Were confirmed in their posts: ministers Mourad Medelci who remains for Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs Dahou Ould Kablia, and Youcef Yousfi for Energy.
