
President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi sent a cable of congratulations to Qatari Emir Tamim Bin Hamad al-Thani on the occasion of taking the reins of power. In his cable, President Hadi expressed his and on behalf of the Yemeni government and people sincere congratulations to Emir Tamim. "We are confident that you will be a worthy successor to the best predecessor and you continue the great achievements that your father Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani has started in all political, economic and cultural areas," Hadi said. I take this opportunity to assure you the depth and durability of the fraternal relations between our two countries and peoples, he added, valuing highly the political and economic support Qatar offered to support Yemen and its people for making the desired change and reform. The President expressed confidence that Emir Tamim's new era would open new horizons of the excellent relations between our two countries, stressing "We will work together to support the interests of the Arab and Islamic nation so as to enhance the bonds of trust, brotherhood and love among the different countries and peoples of the region."
