President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi headed on Monday to Moscow on an official visit to Russia ,at the invitation of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin. In a statement to Saba, President Hadi confirmed that this visit has a great importance ,as Russia is one of the friendly countries that support Yemen to get out of its crisis and it has constructive positions in consulting and coordinating with the Permanent Members in the UN Security Council. He described the Yemeni-Russian relations as strong and historical since the Soviet Union era. The president pointed out that this visit comes within the framework of enhancing the historical relations between the two countries and expanding the economic and trade relations and investment between both countries and peoples. He added that the visit represents an opportunity to give thanks and praise the efforts of Russian in supporting the peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis and achieving the political peaceful transition of power in Yemen in accordance with the Gulf initiative and its operational mechanism.
