President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi issued Wednesday evening new republican decisions relating to military restructuring. The President issued a presidential decree relating to the army restructuring, the designation of military regions and the appointment of their commanders. The decision included the division of the military field into seven geographical regions determined according to the military deployment map. Under the decision, the first military region's headquarters will be in Sayon city, the second military region's in Mukalla city, the third military region's in Marib city, the fourth military region's in the city of Aden, the fifth military region's in Hodeidah city, the sixth military region's in Amran city and the seventh military region's headquarters will be in the city of Dhamar. In addition, the decision included the formation of Defense Ministry's reserve force from five military brigades and its headquarters will be based at the Camp (48) as well as the appointment of Maj. Gen. Ali Ali al-Gaify as its commander. Another decision was issued to appoint Maj. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh as an adviser to the president for security and military affairs. A republican decision was issued to appoint Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh as Yemen's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. The president also issued a presidential decree relating to the formation of a specialized advisory group composed of military advisers to the commander in chief of the armed forces. Under the decision, the members of the specialized advisory group were Maj. Gen. Mohammed Saleh al-Ahmar, Maj. Gen. Ali Mohammed Salah, Maj. Gen. Sharaf Mohammed Ahmed, Maj. Gen. Mehdi Mehdi Magwalah, Maj. Gen. Royce Abdullah Mujawar and Maj. Gen. Saif Saleh Mohsen al-Dhalaee. The President also issued a decision to appoint Yemen's military attaches to Qatar, Egypt, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. A decision was issued by President Hadi to transfer the headquarters of the First Armored Division in Sana'a to a public garden.
