
President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Monday with the UN envoy for humanitarian affairs Abdullah al-Maatouq. President Hadi briefed the UN envoy on the exceptional circumstances that Yemen is going through on all levels that has profoundly affected all fields of life due to the crisis that broke out in early 2011. "Disastrous effects hit security, economy and politics in all its dimensions and implications," President Hadi told the visiting UN envoy. He hailed all the support provided by the United Nations, and expressed appreciation particularly to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who he said is following up the developments in Yemen day by day.
