President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Wednesday met with the UN envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar accompanied by some UN experts. During the meeting, Hadi reviewed with Benomar several issues concerning the implementation progress of the political settlement in the country based on the Gulf initiative in addition to developments of the national dialogue, particularly in southern issue. Hadi said that the dialogue is moving ahead very positively, adding "Today, we are so close to make a complete success and awaiting the dialogue's results, which will forge the new Yemen's future. Benomar conveyed the UN secretary general congratulations to President Hadi on the achievements made in the country, particularly the decisions of the armed forces restructuring. The restructuring decisions were necessary and should be taken in the transitional stage to pave the way for the success of the national dialogue, he said. The UN supports all actions President Hadi made in order to stabilize Yemen, Benomar said.
