President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Monday with Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Yemen ,Marc Vandenberghe. The meeting touched upon the efforts made by the UNFPA in Yemen. In this regard, President Hadi hailed the UN efforts in supporting Yemen in the various fields, noting to the population challenges that face the development process in Yemen, in forefront of which are poverty and unemployment among young people. He confirmed the importance of the role of the institutions and the supportive and donor agencies in cooperation with the Yemeni government in spreading awareness and community culture on the requirements of life and the family planning. For his part, the UNFPA’s representative reviewed a number of topics relating to the UNFPA's program and what it provides in this aspect, confirming the program's interest in Yemen’s affairs and providing the necessary support for the success of the UNFPA’ program in Yemen.
