President of Arabian Gulf University, Khalid Bin Abdul Rahman Al Ouhili said that the visit of HRH the Crown Prince to Japan was an extension of the pioneering visit of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa last year, which highlighted the international prestige of Kingdom of Bahrain, and opened new cooperation horizons between the two friendly countries. Dr. Al-Ouhili added that the visit of HRH the Crown Prince, which was in line with directives of HM the King has achieved results beyond expectations, and transferred Bahrain to the course of the advanced countries, that are based on the knowledge economies, and allocate education and scientific researches as its approach to its economic and scientific development. Meanwhile, Arabian Gulf University was within HRH the Crown Prince’s delegation to Japan to contribute in transferring Kingdom of Bahrain to the knowledge economy, where the university signed a partnership agreement with (SBI) company, and another with a university. Through this international partnership, the Arabian Gulf University will build national and Gulf capacities in the area of clinical research that aim at developing environment-friendly drugs, as well as the genetic structure of the community of GCC states. This partnership also aims at responding to the strategic needs of Kingdom of Bahrain and GCC states, particularly in the health area, which faces challenges including diabetes, obesity and heart diseases. Dr. Khalid Al-Ouhili highlighted that the directives of HM the King and the efforts of HRH the Crown Prince will be of a great benefit to Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as to the other GCC countries.
