
Dr. Mulatu Teshome Wirtu, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, met here on Friday at the National Palace, the delegation of Al Maktoum Charity Foundation, headed by Mirza Hussein Al Sayegh, Member of the Board of Trustees of Al Maktoum Charity Foundation. The meeting was attended by Dr. Youssef Issa Hassan Al Sabri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ethiopia, Permanent Representative to the African Union. The Ethiopian President welcomed the visiting delegation, praising the charity efforts of Al Maktoum Foundation. He referred to the educational projects being implemented by the Foundation in Ethiopia, notably, the construction of two model schools in the capital, Addis Ababa, at cost $2 million. He expressed his country's interest in developing the stronger ties with the UAE in all fields. For his part, Al Sayegh thanked the Ethiopian President on good hospitality, expressing the interest of Al Maktoum Foundation to continue cooperation with Ethiopia to support education. Al Maktoum Charity Foundation's delegation is currently visiting Ethiopia to inspect the projects being implemented by the Foundation there.
