Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin warned against a military strike on Iran stating that the Iranian nuclear problem could only be settled in a peaceful way. "We offer to recognize Iran’s right for the development of a civilian nuclear program, including the right for uranium enrichment. But this should be done in exchange for putting the entire Iranian nuclear activities under a reliable and all-round control of the International Atomic Energy Agency," Putin said in an article published in the (Moscow News) daily. "Russia is concerned over a growing threat of a military strike in that country. If this happens, the consequences will be really disastrous. Their real scale cannot be imagined," the Russian presidential candidate underlined.
