Putin to meet with Civil G20 forum participants on June 14

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet on June 14 with representatives of the Civil G20, an international ground for the dialogue of civil society structures, politicians and experts of the G20 member countries, the Kremlin press service said on Thursday. Delegates of the Civil G20 summit, which is held in Moscow on June 13 and 14, from Russia, Mexico and Australia -- the countries of the Group of Three, the officially recognized format uniting the previous, current and next G20 presiding countries (Mexico in 2012, Russia in 2013 and Australia in 2014) will participate in the meeting. A representative from Turkey, which will preside after Australia in 2015, will also take part in the meeting with the aim to ensure the continuity of the Civil G20 working process and maintenance of the Russia-developed structure of cooperation of the civil society with the G20 presidency not only in 2014, but also in 2015. Representatives of non-governmental organizations and academic circles who are invited to the meeting have participated in the work on recommendations and reports of the Civil G20 in 2012-13. The Russian participants are also members of the national organizing committee for Civil G20 summit preparation. Civil G20 representatives during the meeting will tell the Russian president about their work and recommendations of the civil society on the Russian G20 presidency agenda, the report on proposals to ensure strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth and the address to leaders -- the final document of the Civil Summit. Russia in 2013 has expanded the dialogue with the civil society in the G20, for the first time including the civil society in the G20 consultation process together with other social partners -- business and workers' unions. As is known, the key task of the Russian G20 presidency is concentration of efforts of the forum of the world's major economies on developing measures aimed at solving main economic and financial problems to ensure economic growth and creation of jobs in all countries. Creation of conditions to solve the problems is the main goal of the G20 work. According to Russia, it must have three priority guidelines -- investment stimulation, ensuring of confidence and transparency on markets and regulation efficiency improvement.
