Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that he was disgusted by TV coverage of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's death. "Nearly all Gaddafi's family was killed, his corpse was shown by all TV channels around the world. It was impossible to watch without disgust," Interfax news agency quoted Putin as saying. Speaking at a meeting of the Russian Popular Front in Moscow, Putin also said that none of the world religions would allow TV channels to broadcast the killing of a bloodstained but yet alive man. "There is nothing good that all these scenes were demonstrated on the screens and millions of people, including children, saw that," Putin stressed. He added that the media must take moral responsibility for the broadcasting. Gaddafi, who was in power for 42 years in Libya, and his son Mutassim were captured alive last Thursday when forces of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) wrested full control of his hometown of Sirte. But both of them died in murky circumstances shortly after being seized by NTC fighters.
